Hi everyone. Hope you are all safe and staying at home. In this Corona epidemic, a lot has changed. Everyone has to find new ways of working. I thought a lot of you might be working from home and might not have that scanner readily available. Don’t worry you can scan using your mobile. In case you want to scan some paper and send to your colleague or anyone, you can use Adobe Scan, a scanning app, on your mobile phone.
It is a completely free scanning app that helps you create high quality PDF scans.
Step 1: Download Adobe Scan
Step 2: Launch and register/login for Free
You can use an existing Adobe id or create a new one using email id/Google login/ Facebook login/ Apple login
Step 3: Start taking Scans
That’s it. You are all set. The app has strong intelligence features. It will automatically identify document borders (hence, cropping out anything in the background) and automatically capture (no more tapping shutter, you can if you want to).
Post that it will automatically enhance your scans. However, if you want to remove any small marks, pen scribbles, staple pin holes etc you can choose “Cleanup” tool. This tool will help you erase any small marks and replace it with the background colour of the document.
Step 4: Save PDF and auto backup
Save your scan as PDF and that is it. Just in case you do not lose your scan, it automatically gets stored on Adobe Document Cloud. You can choose to share a link to that scan or share the scan as PDF attachment over email, whatsapp etc.
Also, there is no irritating watermark on the PDF generated from Adobe Scan unlike other competitors.
There are other scanning apps in the market but some of them have had malware and virus being reported in the last few months. Hence I trust Adobe Scan.
Hope this helps you be more efficient in the time of Corona. Scan using your mobile phone, it is a powerful device. And with Adobe Scan you have a powerhouse on your mobile.
P.S. after scanning you can open this PDF in Acrobat mobile app and use its free Fill & sign, commenting features to add more things on your scans.
